What is Pathfinders?
Pathfinders is a Christian-based alternative to traditional scouting programs. We are a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The goal of our Pathfinders club is to support our young people in developing a saving relationship with Jesus Christ through discipleship, mentoring, and service activities.
Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities including:
- Interactive learning focusing on a variety of recreational, environmental, vocational, and spiritual growth topics with awards (honors) given for successful completion of each training module.
- Outdoor skill building: Camping, hiking, and wilderness skills training
- Grade appropriate leadership training
- Community outreach and service activities
What is Adventurers?
With a format similar to Pathfinders that includes class-work, honors and activities, the Adventurers program is designed to assist parents in their important responsibilities as a child’s primary teachers and evangelizers. The program aims to strengthen the parent/child relationship and to further the child’s development in spiritual, physical, mental, and social areas. Adventurers is specifically geared towards children in grades 1 through 4. The Grass Valley Adventurers club also offers a program for Eager Beavers (Kindergartners) and Little Lambs (Pre-School / Age 4).
